Hermie: Who Is In Charge Anyway? DVD Review

Hermie and Friends Series #15: Who Is in Charge Anyway?, DVD

My kids were introduced to the “Hermie” series at a young age.  The characters are great and the lessons learned, wonderful.  Who could resist the voices of Tim Conway and Don Knotts (now deceased) as the loveable characters Hermie and Wormie?  My son, age 8, still loves the Hermie and Friends series and enjoys the lessons learned.  This episode was teaching how God made each of us special to do what we need to do.  My daughter, age 9, felt that she had outgrown the Hermie magic.  She still liked it ok, but felt is was better suited for younger kids.

Adorable in every way and teaching a lesson that each of us is unique, useful and necessary, once again, Max Lucado has provided a wonderful teachable moment for my kids and many others.  After watching the movie I took the time to discuss the lesson with my kids and talk about what they may not like ab0ut themselves at this time.  Each of us has these thoughts and questions and wonder what purpose it all serves.

I would highly recommend this DVD or any in the series, for children ages 2-7.  I am thankful for thought-provoking entertainment such as this and not just mindless cartoons to take up time.

Booksneeze sent me the above DVD for review purposes. It will allow me to keep the DVD. I have no other connection to and have received no other compensation from Booksneeze.

Hermie is wonderful; I agree! Max Lucado is one of my favorite authors of all time; so inspired.

Happy day, Jen

P.S. Is it hot there, too?

What a lovely review. It’s sweet that your older daughter still got something from it too. Some messages we just never outgrow. – G

I didn’t hear of this series when the kids were little. I’ll keep it in mind for grandchildren someday — not in a rush to get those though!
