Love Your Heart by Tim McGraw

by Diane Estrella on February 22, 2010

Tim McGraw throws his cowboy hat into the ring once again, with this, his second children’s book.  Having one incredible wife and three daughters, this book gives him a chance to show his softer side through writing for girls.

Love Your Heart is a beautifully illustrated children’s book which would have a great appeal for young girls.  I showed the book to my nine year old daughter to read and she thought it would be most appropriate for girls slightly younger than her.  The message of the book is simple but most appropriate for these times:  Acts of kindness, being selfless, and putting others first.  A father showing pride in his daughter, for the heartfelt choices she has made.

This book would be wonderful as a present to your favorite girl and most definitely appreciated by any daughter that receives it from her father.  A treasured keepsake to read over and over again.

Booksneeze sent me the above book for review purposes. It will allow me to keep the book. I have no other connection to and have received no other compensation from Booksneeze.

Thank you for reviewing this! I read an interview by McGraw in which he talked a little about it, and was curious. It sounds like something we’ll have to pick up for my two daughters.

There are two in this series. Maybe one for each. Make sure they know it’s from Daddy! :O)

I love the illustrations. As far as celebrities writing books, I don’t know what to think. There must be a bunch of ghostwriters lurking in the shadows.

It was co-authored so Tim had a little help.

Hi Diane -

Sorry about the previous post. I hit the wrong key!

Thanks for the review. While I don’t have kids, it’s good to know what’s out there in the event a friend asks for a recommendation.

Blessings,
Susan :)
