My Review
Not just a light and breezy book to read through and forget…. the author gives the reader a lot to think about regarding forgiveness, one’s purpose, and moving forward.
There is truly something romantic and mysterious about the water. It fills me with a peace and intrigue I can not fully explain. I think the author must feel the same way because in Makai Queen, the book shares a place under the ocean that I have only dreamed of.
This story takes lots of twists and turns to the end, but you will be left with a sense of anticipation for a possible sequel. The mysteries and delights of the water are unfathomable and the possibilities for where this story can continue to go are endless as well.
Our heroine, Tessa, has a lot of past hurts to work through and acknowledge before she can move on into her destiny. I’m glad she comes to a place of healing and acceptance and is able to receive even more blessings into her life as a result. I appreciate books like these that not only tell a wonderful, magical story but also give the reader a sense of ” the more” that is out there awaiting them if only they are open to receive it.

I am a follower.
Sounds like an unusual and interesting book!
My favorite sea creature is a sting ray. I once fed them by hand as they brushed the back of my legs, which was creepy. But they were almost like puppies in their desire to be fed and wanting to get closer.
Squid. Delicious as calamari or sushi. Beautiful creatures to see at the aquarium. And with an old umbrella and a white trash bag they make a cheap and easy Halloween costume.
I love the box fish. This little cutie here:
