Name: Jeanette Levellie
State of Residence: Illinois
Height: 5′ 3″
Age: 57
Hair Color: Auburn

Home life (Family, pets, etc.): As a former history/government teacher with an Associate’s degree in English, I enjoy speaking to church and civic groups, offering hope and humor in every message. I am a trained vocalist, have recorded two records with my family, and written several songs. My husband Kevin and I relocated from Los Angeles to Paris, IL. in 1999 to pastor Nevins Christian Church. We are still trying to adjust to the frigid winters, but love the warm country folks. Kevin and I are Mom and Dad to two adults, grandparents to three children, and servants to four cats.

Hobbies that you enjoy: hobbies include laughing, reading, gardening, traveling, and finding ways to avoid housework.

Top three favorite TV shows: Monk, Andy Griffith, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood

Celebrity crush: Jesus

Favorite authors: Jan Karon, Eugenia Price, Julie Lessman, Cec Murphey

Go-to beverage of choice: coffee, black, dark roast, made in a French press

What’s your blog/website(s)? www.jeanettelevellie.com

Why do you blog? To connect with people, to have fun, to give away prizes, to encourage others.

What do you hope to accomplish with blogging? Encourage my friends, enrich their lives with laughter, and help them know God better.

What’s the latest goings-on that you would want others to know about? I just published my first book, Two Scoops of Grace with Chuckles on Top, and it’s already an Amazon bestseller! I finished the rough draft of my second book, called the Heart of Humor, a funny look at how laughter helps us in every area of our lives.

Any words of encouragement or wisdom to impart? God’s grace is deeper than your past; His love is kinder than your conscience, and Jesus got beat up for you, so you don’t have to beat yourself up.

Where can readers connect with you online?

Ooo, love that you make your coffee in a French press & I’m a little in love with the idea of calling avoiding housework a hobby! :D

We fell in love with the French press several years ago, Wendy. You can pop over any time and I’ll grind beans and make you some!

It’s great to get to know Jen better! Thanks, Diane, for hosting and sharing this. :) It’s good to know that I’m not the only one who looks for ways to avoid housework…I just knew Jen was a kindred spirit!
